Inter Everywhere
Inter Everywhere is the default-font tell: the model falls back to Inter for every page, in every context, with no typographic reason.
The tell
One sans-serif family doing hero, body, labels and numbers — usually Inter, sometimes system-ui.
Why it happens
Inter dominates UI screenshots in training data, so it is the highest-probability completion. Using one family for all roles also collapses the typographic hierarchy into size alone.
The rule
Assign at least two families with different jobs — display, body, and optionally mono for numbers.
- Name a display face for headings that differs from the body face in structure, not just weight.
- Use a tabular mono for figures, IDs and timestamps.
- Set a tighter tracking on large display sizes and slightly looser on all-caps labels.
What is a Inter Everywhere?
Inter is a superb typeface, which is exactly why it became the model default — and why so much generated UI is indistinguishable. The fix is not to ban Inter. The fix is to specify a typeface with intent: a serif for editorial weight, a grotesk with tighter spacing for product UI, a mono for data. Naming the family is one of the cheapest ways to make a generated page look authored.
