Skeleton Screen
A skeleton screen is a loading placeholder of grey shapes laid out like the real content, reducing perceived wait versus a spinner.
Low-fidelity grey blocks — circles for avatars, lines for text — laid out exactly like the incoming content. Skeletons beat spinners because they set expectations about layout and feel faster; the shapes must match the real content or the reveal jars.
